SouthShore Lacrosse is excited to name Coach Bobby Thorp as associate head coach of the 2017 team. Coach Thorp has worked with players of all ages in the South Jersey area. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with all of our players, and it is our privilege to announce him as a full time staff member.
Previously, Thorp was an assistant coach at Cherokee High School. He graduated from Cabrini College in 2013, where he was a star attackman and midfielder earning numerous accolades. He was honored as a USILA All-American in 2012 and 2013 while serving as captain of his team. He earned 1st or 2nd Team CSAC in each of his 4 seasons at both attack and midfield, and was named the MVP of the USILA North/South All Star Game. Additionally, in 2013, Coach Thorp was named the Male Student Athlete of the Year.
A former Cherokee High School attackman, Thorpe was a 1st Team Olympic Conference member in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. He also earned the distinction of be being a US All- American in his senior season, 2009.
With extensive experience as both a player and coach in our area, we feel he will bring a wealth of knowledge to our high school teams at both practice and during the recruiting process. Please join the SouthShore Lacrosse Coaching staff in welcoming Coach Thorp.
